Instructions

1. This activity can be a little messy, so make sure to cover the work area withnewspaper or a vinyl tablecloth. Also make sure the children wear paint smocks.2. Place construction paper inside the top or bottom part of a few gift boxes.3. Pour a small amount of paint into several shallow containers or plates.4. Give each child a golf ball.5. Show the children how to place the golf ball into the paint and use tongs toroll it around so that it is completely covered with paint.6. Then put the golf ball on the paper inside the box top or bottom.7. Show the children how to hold one end of the box at a time to move the golfball around on the paper. Remind the children to keep the box close to thetable when lifting to prevent the golf ball from moving around too fast orfalling out of the box.8. For a rainbow effect, use different colored paints.9. Hang the papers to dry.10.
