Materials
Road maps
Rulers, pencils or markers, drawing paper, and masking tape or colored tape
Instructions
1. Give each child a hard-boiled egg and their choice of tissue paper.
2. Demonstrate how to wrap the paper around the egg. Then dip the egg in
water and pat all over. Point out how the color changes to become brighter.
3. Encourage the children to practice on their own.
4. Although the color will fade a bit when dry, the paper will stick nicely and
they will have beautiful colored eggs without the mess of paints or dyes.
More to do
Math: Count the eggs and name the colors.
