various small objects (buttons, cotton balls, beads, confetti, and so on)

Instructions

1. Divide a piece of paper by the numbers you want the child to learn. You can make columns or divide the paper in thirds one way and in half the other way. 2. Write a numeral in each box or column (use as many numbers as desired). 3. Invite the children to glue one object beside the numeral 1, two objects beside the numeral 2, and so on. 4. Encourage the children to say the number and count the objects as they work.
