cupcake cups (aluminum foil variety preferred)

vanilla wafers

instant vanilla pudding

milk (for pudding)

cherry pie filling

old-fashioned hand rotary beaters

several tablespoons

plastic sandwich bags

Instructions

* February is National Cherry Pie Month.
1. Make vanilla instant pudding according to package directions. (One
package should be enough for a small class, two packages for a larger
class.)
2. Let the children help mix the milk and pudding with the hand rotary
beaters (not electric).
3. Give each child a cupcake cup (aluminum foil, if possible). Each child
places a vanilla wafer at the bottom of his cupcake paper.
4. Let each child put about 2 tablespoons of pudding on top of the cookie
and 1-2 tablespoons of cherry pie filling on top of the pudding.
5. If possible, chill the desserts in a refrigerator for at least 1/2 hour.
6. Eat at snack time or put them in plastic bags for children to take home.
