Materials

photocopies of pictures of each child

photocopies of pictures of each child's family

large piece of white paper (at least 3' x 3')

green paint

sponges

glue

markers that write on paint

Instructions

* National Family Week is celebrated the week of Thanksgiving.
1. Make a photocopy of the children's photos and their family photos.
2. Encourage the children to work together to sponge paint green paint all
over the large paper.
3. When it dries, cut out a treetop outline and glue each child's picture to it.
4. Encourage the children to find their own pictures and write their names
next to it (help them as needed).
5. Let them glue their family pictures next to their own pictures.
More to do Let the children paint the treetop with their handprints instead of the
sponges.
