Magic Scrap

Instructions

1. To facilitate cleaning the room, tell the children there is a "magic scrap"
somewhere on the floor.
2. Play a song while the children pick up everything they find on the floor.
Before throwing anything away, the children show it to you to see if it's the
"magic scrap."
3. Glance around the floor and designate to yourself what will be the magic
scrap and then announce the child who finds it. Other times decide who will
be the winner and then point to something that the child cleaned up and say,
"Suzy found the magic scrap."
4. You can give the winner a little surprise, or simply say, "Surprise! Clean
room!"
