What to do
1. Gather the license plates,
crayons, and paper.
2. Peel the paper off the
crayons.
3. Use large paper and set all the materials on the table.
4. Invite each child to choose a license plate and a piece of paper.
5. Have each child place the paper on top of the license plate and rub with the long side of a
crayon.
6. Repeat with different colors of crayon, or different license plates, or both.

Language: Help the children learn their phone numbers and addresses.
Math: Set out the flannel board, felt numbers, and felt pieces cut into small shapes.
Example: "1" and one circle, "2" and two squares, "3" and three triangles. Invite the children to put
the numbers and shapes together on the flannel board.
More art: Invite the children to roll out playdough and use it to bend and form into numbers.
