Instructions

1. Print each child's name on separate note cards.
2. Ask each child to select a sticker to add to his note card.
3. Use the name card to label the child's coat hook, cubby, or some other
location in the classroom where the child places personal items.
4. Since most three-year-olds are unable to identify their names in print, the
addition of the sticker to the name card will assist them in identifying which
card belongs to them.
5. If space does not allow for the use of a 3" x 5" note card, you can also use
this "sticker concept" on other appropriate materials such as file folder labels
or construction paper cutouts.
