Red and yellow paper

blue bulletin board paper

scissors

pop-up tent

sleeping bags

sticks

string

small magnets

construction paper

paper clips

cotton balls

flashlights

Instructions

1. Make a fire "ring" using red and yellow paper, and a stream using a long
sheet of blue bulletin board paper. Set up a tent with sleeping bags near the
stream and fire ring.
2. Make fishing poles by attaching string to sticks and magnets to the end of the
string. Cut out paper fish and attach paper clips to their mouths. Put the fish
in the stream for the children to catch.
3. Provide flashlights, toy lanterns, play dishes and food, and sticks for roasting
marshmallows (cotton balls). Encourage the children to pretend they are
camping.
