visual features of each.
3. Teach the children the following
rhyme:
A Bumblebee Has Stripes
by Kristen Peters
A bumblebee has stripes so bold
On yellow bodies I've been told.
With wings that are so paper thin
To help them fly above and in.
They visit flowers, one by one,
Then back to the hive when they are done!
4. Challenge each child to memorize one line of the poem, and have the
children recite their lines one at a time, in order.
Assessment
Consider the following:
* Can the children describe the visual differences between various bees and
wasps?
* How well do the children memorize the poem?
