Instructions

1. Prepare a shower curtain by drawing a large clock shape on it (make a circle and numbers, but no hands).

2. Introduce the children to the manner in which a clock keeps time, explaining that whenever a new hour begins, the minute hand is on the 12, and the hour hand is on whichever hour is beginning.

3. Place the shower curtain clock on the floor and tell the children that they will be playing a clock game.

4. Start naming different times, for example, 4:00. Have the children lie down two at a time: one as the minute hand, one as the hour hand.

5. When one pair of children gets the time right (help them, as needed), ask a new pair of children to lie down and be the clock's hands.
