Instructions

1. This is a great activity to do when children are learning about construction
and building. Explain how mortar is used to hold bricks together, and that
they will use frosting to hold their "snack building" together.
2. Give each child four or five graham crackers. Put out bowls of frosting,
colored shredded coconut (for grass and roofing), fruit cereal, marshmallows,
and candy.
3. Demonstrate how to spread frosting on the graham crackers and put them
together to form a "house." Encourage them to decorate the houses as desired.
4. Take pictures of the children's finished products. Have fun eating them!
More to do
More Snack: Create a house built out of gingerbread using the same process as
above.
Blocks: Encourage the children to use large Legos and blocks to create a
structure. It can be a building, a house, school, or whatever the children desire.
