Hole punch

Empty toilet paper tube

Wax paper

Rubber band

Instructions

1. Read the books listed below or other books about space travel with the children.
Have a discussion about what they might see if they were in a space
ship in outer space.
2. Give each child a piece of white construction paper. Encourage the children
to use markers or crayons to draw what they think they would see from their
space ship windows.
3. Ask each child to dictate what he "sees" and write it at the bottom of the
page for him.
4. Punch holes into all of the drawings and put them into a binder.
5. The children can look at the book as often as desired and talk about what
they can see in outer space.
