Instructions

1. This is a nice activity as part of a "good health" project. Discuss what to do if you have a cold. For example, drink a lot of water or juice, rest, stay warm, and so on. Talk about the importance of covering one's mouth and nose when sneezing (so germs cannot spread).2. Give each child a piece of drawing paper. Ask him to draw a self-portrait of his face while sneezing.3. Let the children color their pictures. Make sure to offer crayons in a variety of skin colors and tones.4. Give the children another sheet of paper. Ask them to trace one of their hands, cut it out, and color it.5. Demonstrate how to use a dab of glue to attach a tissue to the back of the hand. Ask them to tape the hand to the face.6. Help the children write their names on their self-portraits. Hang them on a bulletin board.
