Instructions

1. When you have a few spare moments to fill, talk to the children about
animals and the movements each one makes.
2. Demonstrate or invite a child to pretend to be an animal and make its
movements.
3. Invite the children to do the actions as you say the rhyme below. This rhyme
is very simple and repetitive, so they children may be able to repeat it with
you. Wait several minutes between each animal, so the children have time to
do the actions.
Elephant, elephant, in the zoo,
Swing your trunk just like you do.
Lion, lion in the zoo,
Roar very loud just like you do.
Monkey, monkey, in the zoo,
Jump very high just like you do.
Flamingo, flamingo, in the zoo,
Balance on one foot just like you do.
Zebra, zebra, in the zoo,
Gallop very fast just like you do.
Penguin, penguin, in the zoo,
Waddle around just like you do.
