Materials
contact paper
tape
assorted materials (cotton balls, feathers, pieces of yarn, and tissue paper)
Instructions
1. Be creative in how you present
food to toddlers. Create a funny
face on the table or plate with
the food, using the differently
shaped foods to make eyes, a
nose, a mouth, ears, hair, and
other body parts.
2. Round slices of grapes make
great eyes, a pretzel twist is a
silly nose, string cheese can be
bent to make a mouth, apple
slices could be ears, and grated
carrots make crazy hair.
3. The children will love snacking on each part of the face, especially if you
say silly things such as, "No! Don't eat my nose!" as she eats.
4. If desired, let the children make their own funny faces with the food and
then eat them.
