Pictures of insects (two copies of each insect)
cardboard or oak tag glue laminateInstructions
1. Mount each insect picture on cardboard to make insect cards, making sure
there are two copies of each insect to make pairs. Laminate for durability.
2. To play the game, mix up the cards and place them face down in a pile.
3. One player takes the first card and says the name of the insect on the card.
Then she puts the card face up in front of her.
4. The second player takes a card and says the name of the insect on it. If it
matches the card the first player picked, she can take the first player's card to
make a pair. If she cannot make a pair, she also puts her card face up in front
of her.
5. The players take turns drawing cards, saying the insects' names, and trying to
make pairs. A player can make a pair with her own cards or by taking a
matching card from another player.
6. When all the cards are gone from the pile, the player who has the most pairs
is the winner.
