Instructions
Gather materials in the middle of the circle or group area. Make sure you
have enough paper to give one to each child.
What to Do
1. Review the colors you have studied by showing the children the paper one at a
time. Give each child a piece of construction paper and ask him to identify the
color (children may have the same color).
2. Explain to the children that when they hear the color they are holding, they
should search for something in the room that is the same color.
3. Chant, "Tell me can you find it, tell me can you find it, tell me can you find it:
green."
4. The children with green papers locate a green object and hold it up for all to
see.
5. Repeat the chant, encouraging the children to join in on all but the color word.
Chant with a different color until each child has had a turn to search for a
match.
6. Switch papers and play again.
