Instructions
1. This activity is good for the end of the day.
2. Sit in a circle with the children. Toss a small ball or object to a child and say,
"Sweet and sour." The child then tells the group something she liked about
her day (something sweet) and something she didn't like about her day
(something sour).
3. As she talks, give her encouraging remarks such as, "I didn't like that either,"
or another comment that lets the child know it's okay to show or talk about
her emotions.
4. When she is finished, she tosses the ball to another child and says, "Sweet
and sour." The new child then takes a turn. Make sure to comment on each
child's feelings.
5. Play continues until everyone, including you, has a turn.
