1. Write each child's phone number on a piece of paper. If available, sentence strips work well for this activity.
2. Hold up one phone number at a time, and sing the following song to the tune of "This Old Man."I Know My Phone Number555-123-4567 ha! ha! ha! (insert the phone number you are holding)I know my phone number,And I'm telling you,I know my phone number.Yes, I do!(If you don't need the area code where you live, substitute "Hey, hey, hey!" for the first three numbers.)3. You may want to provide a toy phone or old cell phone for the children to practice finding the numbers on the keypad.
