Instructions

1. Explain to the children that they are going to look for people ("dinosaurs") that are helpful to others. Tell them that they will call a helpful person a "Help-OSaurus."2. Demonstrate this idea by pointing out when someone is being helpful to another. By the end of the week, children will be able to find people being a Help-O-Saurus.3. Use a chart to write down the names of the helpers, who they helped, and how they were a Help-O-Saurus.More to doThe children can state when they have been helpful to someone or someone has helped them. Make paper dinosaurs and tell the children to bring one to an adult whenever someone helps them. This way, an adult can record the event immediately before it is forgotten. Review the helpful events at the end of the day. Send home the dinosaur helper paper with the Help-O-Saurus.
