The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carleflannel boardfelt cutouts of 1 caterpillar, 1 leaf, 1 butterfly, 1 apple, 2 pears, 3 plums, 4 strawberries, 5 oranges
Instructions
1. Read The Very Hungry Caterpillar to the class.
2. Read the story again and invite the children to help put the felt cutouts on the flannel board as you get to them in the story.
3. Encourage children to count out loud the number of pieces of fruit eaten by the caterpillar.
