Instructions

1. Invite four or five children to stand in a circle, close to one another. (Older children may be able to make a larger group circle). Ask the children to reach across the circle and hold the hands of two different friends.

2. Remind the children to hold hands gently, and tell them not to let go of their friends' hands.

3. Have the children "unknot" themselves, by moving over and under their linked hands to create an untangled circle. For younger children, you will have to direct them on how to move out of the "human knot."
