Instructions

1. Whenever you have a few minutes to fill, play this memory-stimulating
game. First, think of a familiar story or nursery rhyme.
2. Ask, "Who said this?" and then quote a line said by a character in the story or
nursery rhyme.
3. Let the children take turns guessing.
4. Following are some sample quotes:
"Not by the hair of my chinny chinny chin." (The Three Little Pigs)
"What big eyes you have." (Little Red Riding Hood)
"Somebody ate my porridge." (The Three Bears)
"What a good boy am I." (Little Jack Horner)
5. During story time, be sure to read lots of stories over and over again so the
children will become familiar with them.
More to do Books: Make a book of famous quotations. Print a quote along the bottom of a
piece of art paper. Let the children draw a picture of the character quoted.
Repeat for several different quotes. Create a cover and bind the pages together
into a book.
