Instructions
1. During large group time, discuss what children know about banks and what
they want to know about banks. Visit a local bank, if possible.
2. Ask the children to help set up a work station like those in the center of
banks. As a group or a few small groups, make a list of materials needed.
3. Make deposit slips. Leave a space for the child's name, account number,
deposit amount, withdrawal amount, and total.
4. Assemble the materials and set up the work station for free play time.
5. Work with the children during their play to help them understand the
purposes of the supplies. Extend their learning of math concepts through
questioning and suggestions while they play.
