Materials

2 decorative bags, baskets, or boxesindex cardsmarkers or glue and pictures

Instructions

1. Draw or glue pictures of different movements on index cards and write the movement next to it. Movement ideas include tap, clap, bounce, stamp, turn, hop, and so on.

2. Make number cards by writing the numerals 1 to 10 in big, bold print on 10 index cards, one numeral per card.

3. Place the movement cards in one bag and the number cards in the other bag.

4. Ask one child at a time to pull out a movement card from one bag and a number card from the other bag.

5. Encourage the children to act out the movement as many times as indicated on the number card.
