Materials

  • 10 pictures of umbrellas
  • several raindrop shapes or stickers
  • glue
  • markers

 

What to do

1. Write the numerals 1 to 10 on each of the umbrella pictures.

2. Let each child select an umbrella. Ask them to count out the corresponding number of raindrops and stick them to the umbrella picture. (The umbrella with the numeral 5 would have five raindrops on it.)

3. Display the counting cards in the math area.
