Instructions
1. Staple a long piece of adding machine paper around the classroom.
2. Each day at group time, write a number on the tape, beginning with one.
3. Every time you add a multiple of five to the tape, write that number in a different color.
4. Every time you add a multiple of 10 to the tape, circle that number.
5. When adding these multiples of five or 10, invite the children to count to that number by fives or tens: Otherwise, help them count to the number by ones.
