Materials

50 to 100 uniform rectangular blockswood glue and marker (optional)

Instructions

1. Ask one of the children to lie on the floor.

2. Ask the children to estimate how many blocks tall the child is.

3. Arrange blocks in a line, from the child's head to toe, counting aloud.

4. Repeat for each child and invite the children to measure each other.

5. If desired, glue blocks into a permanent tower, using a marker to number each block. Display the tower and invite the children to check their "block height" as time passes.
