Instructions
1. Talk about weighing items on a balance scale.2. Ask the children to choose two items to compare in weight.3. Encourage them to predict which will be heavier.4. Let the children take turns weighing the items to check their predictions.5. Do this with a variety of classroom items.6. Invite them to add two things to each side of the scale and compare.7. This is a great hands-on comparison of weights.
