Instructions
Invite the children to do the actions of the following rhyme with you.
Snow is falling all around (make falling motion with hands)
Like sugar on the leaves and ground. (point to the trees and the ground)
Put on mittens, boots, and hat (make motion of putting mittens on hands,
boots on feet and hat on head)
And build a snowman, round and fat. (put arms out round and fat while
puffing cheeks)
Tromping around through swirling snow, (march around as if in deep snow)
My fingers are frozen, my nose aglow. (rub hands together and rub nose)
Until at last I am so frozen, (make motion of being really cold)
I rush inside my cozy home. (running motion)
From the window I watch the storm, (peek eyes through hands)
Wrapped in my blankie, snug and warm. (wrap pretend blanket around
shoulders)
