Instructions

* Print out or write one digit on each card.
* Place the card inside the envelope.
* Cut a small hole on one side of the envelope such that only the middle
portion of the number is visible.
What to Do
1. Hold the envelope
high so that the
children can see
only the middle
part of the number.
2. Let the children
guess the number
inside the
envelope. If they
run out of guesses,
show them the
number.
Assessment
To assess the children's learning, consider the following:
* Display the number card. Can the children identify the number?
* Can the children identify the lines in numbers, such as circles, curving lines,
slanted lines, and straight lines?
