Instructions

* Groundhog Day is February 2nd.
Sing the following song, and have the children perform the appropriate
gestures when prompted.
Here's a little groundhog, furry and brown, (raise thumb extend from fist)
He's coming up to look around. (pop thumb up)
If he's sees his shadow (raise hand to eyes)
Down he'll go, (pull thumb in)
Then six more weeks of winter oh, no! (raise six fingers, look upset)
More to do Art: Glue a paper groundhog on a Popsicle stick. Push the stick through the
bottom of a Styrofoam cup. Then turn it right side up and raise and lower
the groundhog stick as you repeat the words of the song.
