Instructions

1. Cut short lengths of string or yarn.
2. Give each child a clothespin and a piece of string. He will use the clothespins
to hold the string.
3. Pour paint into one or more clean meat trays.
4. Encourage the children to pull the strings through the paint, and then across a
piece of paper.
More to do
Encourage children to collect items with which to paint (for example, empty
thread spools, plastic bottle caps, cookie cutters, and sponges cut into shapes).
On a nice day, give the children a bag and take them on a hike to collect items
with which to paint (for example, stones, twigs, and leaves). Press these items
into the paint, then onto paper.
