Materials

T-shirt pattern on white paperdecorative items, such as ribbon, glitter, confetti, wallpaper scraps, and feltclotheslineclothespins (one per child)crayonsglue

Instructions

1. Give each child a T-shirt pattern.

2. Invite them to use crayons, ribbon, felt, and so on to decorate their T-shirts.

3. Write a different numeral on each child's T-shirt, starting with 1 and going up to however many children are in the class.

4. Hang a clothesline across the room and give each child a clothespin.

5. Have the children hang their shirts in numerical order. Younger children may only be able to order them from 1 to 5 or 1 to 10, so help them as needed.
