Instructions

What to do
1. Pour green paint in a meat tray.
2. Encourage each child to dip one hand in the paint and press it repeatedly on a sheet of construction
paper, so that the handprints form the shape of a circle. Let the pictures dry.
3. Pour red paint in a meat tray.
4. Have the children dip a finger in the red paint and make dots on the handprints to resemble
holly berries.
5. Provide the children with pre-made bows to stick on their wreaths once the paint has dried.
More to do
More art: Make a class nature wreath. Have the children look outside for small items to glue or
pin to a Styrofoam wreath form.
