5 real or paper cutout pumpkins

Instructions

1. Show the children five pumpkins.

2. Invite the children to recite the following rhyme, making the appropriate gestures when prompted. Point to a pumpkin on each line.Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate. (hold up one arm as the gate and five fingers as the pumpkins)The first one says, "Oh my, it's getting late!"The second one says, "There are witches in the air." (use hands to fly like a witch)The third one says, "But we don't care." (shake head back and forth)The fourth one says, "Let's have a little fun!"The fifth one says, "Let's run and run and run!" (use fingers to make running motion)"Oooh," went the wind, and out went the light,And the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight! (make a rolling motion with arms)
