What to do
1. Talk to the children about the sound of the letter G. Tell them that the words green, glitter, and
ghost all begin with the letter G and that today they are going to make green glitter ghosts.
2. Invite the children to finger paint a piece of paper with green paint.
3. While the paint is still wet, have the children sprinkle their papers with green glitter.
4. After the paper dries, the children can cut out one large or several small ghost shapes.
Some of the children may wish to draw on facial features using the markers.
More to do
Language: Ask the children to name other things that start with the G sound.
Snack: Give children cookies cut in a ghost shape, green frosting, and green sprinkles. The children
can spread the frosting on the cookies, add green sprinkles, and enjoy!
