Instructions

Put all of the caps into a large box.

the role of the peddler in Caps for Sale.
What to Do
1. Read the story Caps for Sale to
the children.
2. Show the children the box of
caps. Name the colors of the
caps. Encourage the children
to sort the caps by color. Ask

3. Give each child one cap. Ask
each child to tell you the color
of the cap.
4. Reread the story. This time
have the children put the caps
on the "peddler's" head at the appropriate time.
5. Encourage the children to pretend to be monkeys at appropriate moments in
the story.
