Instructions

1. Let the children string popcorn and oranges on a piece of string.
2. Encourage the children to coat pinecones with peanut butter, spread
birdseed on the peanut butter, and tie string to the pinecones.
Safety Note: Be aware of any peanut allergies or sensitivities and plan
accordingly.
3. Hang the strings of food on a tree near the school or center.
4. Observe the different kinds of birds that come to feed. Make notes about
them in a journal.
