Materials

3" x 30" paper strips

colored paper

pencils

glue

scissors

Instructions

* Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May.
1. Help the children trace around their hands on colored paper.
2. Help them cut out their paper hands.
3. Have the children glue one hand to each end of a long strip of paper.
4. Give each child a sheet of paper that says, "Here's a big hug for you!"
Ask the children to print their names under the sentence, offering help
as needed.
5. Glue the paper in the center of the long strip of paper. Fold the paper to
make a card.
6. Let children bring the cards home to give their mothers on Mother's Day.
