Instructions

1. First announce that it will soon be cleanup time.
2. Walk throughout the room and take one item from each of the areas the
children are participating in. Place these items in a basket or container.
3. As the children are completing activities, walk through the room a second
time. Repeat the announcement that it is now cleanup time.
4. Let each child select an item from the basket or container. This item
represents the area in which the child will help clean up.
More to do Circle Time: At circle time, let the children choose an item from the basket to
represent where they will participate during free choice time.
