do 1. Cut string into a variety of
lengths.
2. Unroll a length of string
on the playground and
lay it on the ground in a
shape, such as a circle or
an oval.
3. Demonstrate how to cover
the string with snowballs,
following the string pattern.
4. Lay out more patterns for the children to
trace with snowballs.
5. For an added challenge, lay some of the
strings in the shape of numbers and letters.
6. Encourage the children to create their own
shapes with the string.
