Materials

Actual fruit (bananas, pears, apples, oranges)

Oak tag

Scissors

Paper lunch bags

Crayons

Stapler

Instructions

1. After discussing shapes, explain to the children that they are going to make
and then eat their favorite shapes.
2. Give each child a plate and a slice of biscuit dough.
3. Show the children how to roll out their dough into long "snake" shapes. Ask,
"How does the dough feel?"
4. Encourage them to form their favorite shapes.
5. Mix cinnamon and sugar together in a bowl. Encourage the children to brush
melted butter on top of their shape, and then sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
6. Place the biscuit shapes on a cookie sheet. Bake according to the directions
on the package.
