Instructions
1. Use the familiar chant "Hello Everybody, Yes Indeed" to turn your morning
routine into a learning experience.
Hello, everybody, yes indeed,
Yes indeed, yes indeed,
Hello, everybody, yes indeed,
Yes indeed, my darling.
2. Add more verses related to the day of the week, weather, or class news:
Today is Monday, yes indeed...
The day is sunny, yes indeed...
Today is Stevie's birthday, yes indeed...
3. At departure time, sing:
Goodbye, everybody, yes indeed,
Yes indeed, yes indeed,
Goodbye, everybody, yes indeed,
Yes indeed, my darling.
We'll see you tomorrow, yes indeed,
Yes indeed, yes indeed...
More to do Language: This chant lends itself to syllable clapping. Encourage the children
to clap the syllables along with the chant. Being able to recognize syllables as
parts of words is an important pre-reading skill.
