What to do
1. Have the children decorate the bottom of each plate.
2. Staple the edges of plates together with the decorated sides facing out.
3. Take the children outside and invite them to throw their new "frisbees."
More to do
Games: See how far the children can throw their handmade frisbees, then mark the spot and
measure the distance. Set up a series of targets, mark their location with little flags, then play a
round of Frisbee Golf in teams. Set up small plastic bottles like bowling pins, then form teams and
play Frisbee Bowling. Hold Frisbee Relays.
Math: Invite each child to measure and record his or her own distance in the Frisbee Throw. They
can design a fun chart to record their first, second, and third attempts in the Frisbee Throw.
