Instructions

1. Teach the children the following song to the tune of "One Elephant Went Out to Play."Friendship WalkOne little friend walks all alone.He finds a good friend he has known.Two walk along and then they seeAnother friend coming to make it three.Three friends wishing for just one more.Here comes another; now they're four.It's just so good to be alive!Let's ask another so we'll have five.

2. Have the children sit in a circle. Choose one child to start the game by walking in a circle around the children.

3. Ask the rest of the children to sing along. The child chooses new friends whenever the lyrics mention adding one more friend. The chosen children walk with the child around the circle.

4. Repeat the song, letting the fifth child be the leader, until everyone has had a turn.
