Instructions

1. When you have a few extra moments, play an instrument or put on some
music to play a game similar to hot potato.
2. Have the children pass the instrument as the music plays. The child holding it
when the music stops gets to choose the next song for the group to sing.
More to do Literacy: Prepare a song chart with titles and icons that are familiar to the
children. Use this to provide a choice of songs. Have the lyrics of these songs
written out on large sheets of paper and use a pointer to follow the words of
the song as the group sings.
