Instructions
1. Visit a grocery store and talk to a person who stocks shelves about his or her
job.
2. Back in the classroom, remove the blocks from the block area and replace
them with empty food containers. Be sure to label the shelves: "boxes," "cans,"
and "bags."
3. Encourage the children to build structures with the containers.
4. Write "shelf stocker" on small pieces of paper. When it is time to clean up,
motivate the children by giving them a "shelf stocker" badge to wear as they
restock the shelves.
5. Remind them to sort the containers to match the labels on the shelves.
