Instructions
1. Borrow a large wooden ramp from the Block Area.
2. Cover the top of the ramp with a piece of waxed paper and secure it with masking tape.
3. Pour water into two baby food jars. Add yellow food coloring to one jar and blue food coloring to the other.
4. Provide several eyedroppers. Encourage the children to squeeze out yellow and blue drops of water down the ramp.
5. As the droplets of water merge, they not only become green, they also look like baby tadpoles swimming down the ramp.More to do:Collect tadpoles from a nearby pond. Place them in the science discovery area, along with magnifying glasses. Encourage the children to observe and chart the many changes that take place with the tadpoles.
